History and Status of MB-IPB
MB IPB is one of the study programs in the Postgraduate School of IPB. At first, since 1991, this program was called Master of Management in Agribusiness - IPB (MMA-IPB). MMA-IPB proved itself as the high-achieving higher education institution of management, with the issuing of certificate by the High Education National Accreditation Board with a grade of A (Very Good) (Instruction Letter No: 00606/Ak-IV/S2-013/IPBMAG/XII/2005), whilst beforehand, at 2000 received a grade of U (Seperior) certification by the High Education National Accreditation Board with the value 4.8 from the total of 5,0 (Instruction Letter No: 025/BAN-PT/AK-I/S2/IX/2000 and 032/BAN-PT/AK-I/S2/X/2000), which was the highest score from 344 postgraduate programs (Masters) in Indonesia.
During its development, in accordance with IPB’s vision that had become a Nation’s Owned Legal Body since early 2001, as well as market request, therefore, since A
pril 9th 2005 MMA-IPB changed its status to the Postgraduate Program of Management and Business, based on IPB’s Rector’s Instruction Letter No. 029/K13/OT/2005. The Postgraduate Program of Manajemen and Business was an expansion from MMA-IPB so that it can be more participating in the development of management and business education in Indonesia. With this status, the Postgraduate Program of Manajemen and Business apart from offering the Master of Manajemen program (MM) also held the Doctor of Management and Business program since February 2006.
