Computer Lab
MB-IPB has a computer laboratory with PC workstations totalling of 40 units that are used to accommodate the academic requirements for the participants. There is also a server room to control all of the PC workstations in MB-IPB.MB-IPB also have more than 30 PC workstations spreading in each office rooms to support the process of management and administration in MB-IPB. To support educational activity, each lecture rooms are equipped with a PC for the lecturer.
All of the PC workstations are controlled by two servers in the MB-IPB Computer Laboratory. To support operational activity, MB-IPB is using the MB-IPB Information System in an integrated manner for transaction use and decision making. The MB-IPB Information System is continually developed and upgraded in accordance with the requirement of MB-IPB.
To facilitate easy internet access, other than the Computer Laboratory, an ‘internet corner’ consistin
g of 3 PC workstations that functioned as means of accessing the internet is built. During the development, since early 2006, MB-IPB has implemented the WIFI (Wireless Fidelity) technology for wireless connection to the internet. With the existence WIFI, the area around MB-IPB is a Hotspot area available to those with access to wireless devices such as portable computers, mobile phones, and PDA’s.
